چکیده

Abstract Cracked tooth syndrome (CTS) is an incomplete fracture of a human that commonly arises from chewing hard foods. Although it very common syndrome, CTS often difficult to diagnose owing the small size cracks. Conventional techniques for detection cracks, such as transillumination and radiographic methods, are inaccurate have poor imaging resolution. In this study, we devise novel method in vivo microcracks by exploiting mechanoluminescence (ML) phenomenon. ZrO 2 :Ti 4+ (ZRT) phosphor particles pasted onto suspected regions cracks emit cyan-colored light result masticatory forces. Then, stretchable self-healable photodetector (PD) array laminated on top converts emitted photons into photocurrent, which facilitates two-dimensional mapping Because high photosensitivity PD, intense ML ZRT particles, possible image submicron- micron-sized with Furthermore, uniqueness technique over conventional stems application simple optical phenomenon, i.e., ML, obtaining precise information regarding locations, depth, length

A highly sensitive a-Si photodetector array with integrated filter for optical detection in MEMS

This paper presents a highly sensitive photo-detector array deposited on a glass substrate with an integrated optical filter. The active element is a vertically integrated hydrogenated amorphous silicon photodiode featuring a dark current of less than 1e-10 A/cm for -3V bias voltage and a maximal quantum efficiency of 80% near 580 nm. The prototype was encapsulated and tested optically. It has ...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Mechanoluminescence of Ba2 MgSi2 O7 doped with Eu(2+) and Dy(3+) phosphor by impulsive deformation.

Di-barium magnesium silicate phosphor doped with Eu(2+) and Dy(3+) was prepared using a solid-state reaction technique under a reducing atmosphere. The sample underwent impulsive deformation by impact from a piston for mechanoluminescence (ML) investigations. The temporal ML characteristics of the phosphor were observed, which expressed a single sharp peak with a long decaying period. To invest...

Survival of root filled cracked teeth in a tertiary institution.

AIM To assess the survival rate of root filled cracked teeth over a 2-year period in a tertiary institute. METHODOLOGY Forty-nine patients who had root canal treatment completed on their cracked teeth at the National Dental Centre (Singapore) were recalled for a 2-year review. Collected review data included presence of periodontal pocketing, sinus tract and swelling associated with the teeth....

Efficient, conservative treatment of symptomatic cracked teeth.

Every practice has patients who complain of cold sensitivity and pain on biting while showing no obvious signs of irreversible pulpitis. After loading each cusp and fossa in a symptomatic quadrant and ruling out pulp and periodontal pathology, definitive treatment can be performed to alleviate the patient's symptoms in a consistent, conservative manner using esthetic computer-aided design/compu...
